Disney’s “Mighty Ducks” kicks off Movie in the Park series May 17

Reserve a golf cart to watch White Pines drive-in movie

Bensenville, Ill. (April 24, 2025)— Get ready for a summer of cinematic magic under the stars with the Bensenville Park District’s Movies in the Park series, which begins with a drive-in movie presentation of Disney’s “The Mighty Ducks” (PG) at the White Pines Golf Club driving range at 8 p.m. Saturday, May 17.

Bring the whole family and watch the movie from the comfort of a golf cart. Admission is free, and cart rental is available for $10, with each cart accommodating two adults. The club is located at 500 W. Jefferson. Carts should be reserved in advance at the Deer Grove Leisure Center, 1000 W. Wood Street in Bensenville. Cart payments can be made on-site at White Pines the evening of the event.

“The Mighty Ducks” is a sports comedy drama about a self-centered lawyer who is sentenced to community service as a youth hockey coach. Under his guidance, a ragtag team of misfit players learns the value of teamwork, determination and friendship as they work toward competing at a higher level.

Head to Arbor Park in Wood Dale at 8 p.m. June 7 for Pixar’s “Inside Out 2” (PG). Join on an imaginative journey through a young girl’s mind, where familiar emotions face unexpected challenges and spark fresh adventures.

Follow the story of the legendary lion as he embarks on a journey to claim his destiny as the rightful ruler of the Pride Lands at 8 p.m. on July 19 with the Movie at the Farm presentation of “Mufasa: The Lion King” (PG).

Make a splash at the Bensenville Water Park & Splash Pad, 1100 W. Wood Street, on August 2 with the “dive-in movie” showing of Disney’s “Moana 2” (PG), sponsored by Armando Perez State Farm and Grand Subaru. Bring approved single-person floats and enjoy the movie under the night sky. Gates open at 7:30 p.m., and the movie starts after dusk.
